In May of 1873, Bishop Richard Gilmour purchased land for a Catholic Cemetery. Bishop Fitzgerald of Little Rock, Arkansas, blessed St. Mary Cemetery on June 27, 1875. Thus began Historic St. Mary Cemetery.

St. Mary has a beautiful Historic Cemetery located at the end of South State Street. There are traditional above and in ground burial plots available as well as in ground areas for cremations too. Each new Columbarium, located in the beautiful St. Mary Memorial Garden, contains 48 niches for the above ground cremation burials.  Why not plan for the future?
