Baptism Preparation (English or Spanish)
The purpose of this preparation is to provide insight in the parents’ role as the primary educators of their children’s Catholic faith. Individuals and couples are needed for the various needs of the ministry form setting up and organizing materials for meetings to actually teaching preparation classes.
Volunteers are periodically needed in the parish office to perform a variety of tasks including clerical work and help with mailings.
Holy Name Society
The Holy Name Society was founded to foster reverence for the name and person of Jesus Christ. The Society’s purpose is to reduce profanity and irreverent speech, promote the spiritual welfare of its members, participated in the life of the church, support Catholic actions and promote sociability among its members and other parishioners. Holy Name Society members attend the 9:00 AM Mass together on the 2nd Sunday of each month, then meet afterwards in the Fr. Hanzo Center for fellowship, prayer an refreshments.
The primary function of the group is to plan the Parish’s Annual Picnic. The group meets as needed during the year. Committee chairpersons and other volunteers are needed to assist in the planning of various game and food booths, and other jobs related to the picnic.
Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii Society’s goals are to promote the Holy Rosary, imitate the Blessed Virgin Mary in her maternal love for the poor, support an orphanage in Pompeii, Italy and make and distribute rosaries. This group meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Fr. Hanzo Center
The Pre-Cana ministry in a day-long presentation to engage couples, consisting of talks by presenting couples ranging from communication to finances to helping young couples learn to negotiate potential problems before they are married. There are many capacities within the Pre-Cana ministry in which one can be of service and participants in the ministry need not be married.
The mission of this organization is to foster and promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Members grow through fellowship, educations, and Christian service.
Spanish Renewal Juan XXIII
This ministry is responsible for a Christian retreat and follow-up which invites men and women into a deeper experience of Christian community and to build a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
